Wokingham Borough’s Forest of Imagination, 2025
Devising and facilitating a public making workshop for Wokingham Borough’s Forest of Imagination entitled ‘Bugs Bugs Bugs: A Critterly Crowd of Scrappy Stools’. Drawing inspiration from scavenger insects who decompose dead matter, I guided participants of all ages in the playful crafting of creature-like seats made from scrap timber sourced and processed from skips, pavements and old projects in London. Beginning with movement exercises inspired by insects, I introduced participants to methods of scrappy making through crafting speedy creatures from my recycling bin. I then worked with participants individually to assemble their stools using hand and power tools.
