Building with Reeds
MArch Architecture, Central Saint Martins, 2023
Collaborative project with Ellie Cunningham, Alice Baseian, Edie Parfitt, Penny Brearly, Scarlett Barclay, Renua Ikiebe and Sally Clapp.
1:1 tests for new construction methods using Reeds - exploring alternative ways of thatching, clay plastering and insulating buildings. Our fragment was exhibited at the Design Museum as part of the ‘How to Build a Low-Carbon Home’ display.
We visited Wakelyns Organic Agroforestry to learn more about regenerative land practices and material supply chains.
